I use a wide variety of products that work well on different skin types and they last all day!
Products include: MAC, Nars, Laura Mercier, Inglot, Benefit, Cosmetics a la Carte, YSL, Laura Mercier, Clinique and By Terry.
If you have sensitive skin and / or you have any favourite products just let me know.
It would be best to have your hair dry when I arrive, you can either wash it the day before the trial, or if you prefer to wash your hair daily . . .you can wash it on the day. Please don’t use any deep conditioners, leave-in products, 2in1 shampoo & conditioners and please don’t straighten your hair.
If you would like to show me your regular makeup then yes, but I’m more than happy just chatting to you about what makeup you usually wear and then spending time helping you find your perfect wedding day look!
No, it’s by no means essential.
It is more important to get a hair style that is perfect for you – that way the hair accessories always look good.
You’d be surprised – when we find your perfect hair style the hair accessories will work beautifully.
It’s always helpful to get a selection of images together showing styles that you like, don’t worry – they can be completely different looks – it will just give us an idea of the sort of things you might like to try. You don’t need to send me the images in advance, I’m more than happy to look at them when we meet for the trial run.
It’s usually just the bride, but I’m happy to do a trial run for any members of your bridal party if they are concerned about their hair and makeup for the ‘big day’.
From my experience, once the bride is happy everyone else relaxes and is happy to meet me on the wedding day for the first time. However, if they would like a trial the cost is £80 for hair and makeup or £65 for just hair or just makeup (providing they have their trial on the same day/location as the bride).
Alternatively they could come along to meet me on the trial day and just have a chat – no charge!!
Definitely! Just be careful though – if you have too many people you’ll get lots of different opinions – and you might find more of a hindrance than a help :)
There’s no set time frame, however, most people have their trial run anything from 6 months to 1 week before the wedding.
If you’re having sleepless nights thinking about how you’re going to look on your wedding day I’m happy to do your trial earlier – no problem!
I will be in no hurry, take as long as you like to get your “look” just the way you want it. You are not committed to your booking before you have your trial run…
You have up to 7 days to make up your mind, and you only pay a deposit if you’re 100% happy with my work.
This all depend on how you decide to have your hair and makeup. I’ll be able to work out the exact timings for the big day once you’ve had your trial run. I always allow plenty of time, making sure you’re ready and relaxed, with enough time to get your dress on, have some photos taken and relax before you make your big entrance.
Reliability…Whatever the time of your wedding, I will arrive in plenty of time ensuring you’re ready on time on your big day.
Should I have an accident or become unwell I am in regular contact with a number of excellent makeup artists, so back-up should be available. I keep records of every trial run… so your perfect look can be achieved.
Don’t worry… I work alongside a team of top makeup artists and hair stylists.
I’ll be able to give you the details of someone I trust if I’m already booked on your wedding date.
